About Me

Hi, I’m Mandy!

After spending years working in the building/development industry, then a few years as a nurse, I knew that something wasn’t right, and I wanted to find a job to spend my days doing something that made me happy.
The Paws & Pad Co. began shortly after I lost my own dog, Bodhi. Starting this business felt like a great way to honour the love and companionship he gave me, while being able to do something I genuinely care about. For more than a decade, I’ve been trusted by friends and family to look after their pets and homes, and in the past year I’ve proudly turned that experience into a professional pet sitting and dog walking business.

I’ve loved animals as long as I can remember, and I have always believed our pets are more than just animals. They’re a part of our family, and I understand the trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care. When I’m not looking after your pets, you’ll likely find me with my nose deep in a book (I read well over 100 a year), with one hand clutching an iced coffee or a Monster (caffeine is life!).

I am insured, have a Police and WWC Checks, and hold a Certificate II in Animal Studies and Pet First Aid certification

In 2025, I was honoured to be voted SA’s Best Pet Sitter in The Advertiser’s Best Pet Sitter competition, something I’m super proud of and grateful for.
