Terms & Conditions
1. Bookings & Availability 🐾
All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed only once a confirmation email or message has been sent by The Paws & Pad Co.
Emergency or last-minute bookings may be accommodated based on availability and may incur an additional fee.
2. Meet & Greets
A complimentary meet & greet is required prior to your first booking to assess compatibility and gather important pet and home care information.
Additional meet & greets (if requested) may incur a fee.
3. Services Offered
Dog Walking:
Walks are conducted individually or in small groups (max 2 dogs), depending on compatibility and at the owner’s request.
All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, worming, and flea treatments.
Dogs must not be aggressive toward people or other animals. Any history of reactivity or behavioural concerns must be disclosed during booking.
Dogs will be walked on lead unless written permission and legal requirements allow for off-lead time.
Drop-In Visit:
Includes feeding, refilling water, basic clean-up (e.g. pet waste/litter trays), administering medication (if required and previously discussed), and brief interaction/companionship with your pet.
Standard visits are 30 minutes or 60 minutes in duration unless otherwise agreed.
Additional time (beyond 30 or 60 minutes) or extra services may incur an added fee.
Visits will be scheduled within an agreed time window (e.g. morning or evening) - exact times may vary slightly due to other bookings or travel.
House Sitting:
Includes staying overnight at your home, caring for pets, bringing in mail, watering plants, and maintaining basic cleanliness.
The Paws & Pad Co. agrees to care for the property responsibly but is not liable for unforeseen damage (e.g. pet destruction, appliance failure, etc.).
The client must provide all necessary supplies (pet food, medication, cleaning items, etc.).
The property must be safe, habitable, clean and secure, with clear access to facilities such as water, electricity, and Wi-Fi (if applicable).
4. Payment Terms & Cancellation Policy
Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, cash or PayPal.
Dog Walking & Drop-In Visits:
Full payment is required 24 hours prior to commencement of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will incur the full fee.
House Sitting:
A non-refundable 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your spot, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Full payment is required 7 days prior to commencement of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled start date will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.
Exceptions may be made in cases of emergencies or extenuating circumstances at The Paws & Pad Co.’s discretion.
5. Keys & Access
It is the client’s responsibility to provide clear access to the property (e.g. keys, lockbox, garage code).
If a key collection/drop-off outside of the meet & greet is required, a fee may apply.
All keys will be handled securely and returned promptly after the end of service.
6. Pet Health & Emergency Care
The client agrees to disclose all known medical conditions, medications, allergies, and behavioural issues.
In the event of illness or injury, The Paws & Pad Co. will attempt to contact the client and/or the nominated emergency contact.
If necessary, The Paws & Pad Co. will seek veterinary care. All veterinary expenses are the responsibility of the client.
A pet emergency form and vet release may be required prior to service.
7. Inclement Weather or Unsafe Conditions
For the safety of all involved, walks may be shortened, rescheduled, or substituted with indoor enrichment if weather conditions are unsafe (e.g. excessive heat, storms, etc.).
No refunds are provided for adjusted walks due to extreme weather, but alternative arrangements will be offered when possible.
8. Privacy & Confidentiality
All personal information, keys, and property details are kept strictly confidential.
Photos or updates may be used for social media or marketing purposes only with prior consent from the client.
9. Liability
The Paws & Pad Co. will take all reasonable care but shall not be held liable for:
Injury, illness, loss, or death of any pet under unforeseeable or accidental circumstances.
Damage to property caused by pets.
Theft, loss, or damage where the home was left unsecured by the client or due to circumstances beyond our control.
10. Agreement
By booking a service with The Paws & Pad Co., the client acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
